For man-about-town Nick, 28, even a week night involves a trip to a venue like London’s Groucho Club with chums such as Lily Allen, Alexa Chung and, recently, One Direction heart-throb Harry Styles.

But now he’s taking over from Chris Moyles, the longest-serving host on Radio 1’s biggest show. Nick – known as Grimmy – faces a very harsh 5.30am start. Which is usually the time he’s crawling home.

One friendship now under intense scrutiny is Nick’s bromance with Styles, 18.

But, Nick insists, he isn’t his pop star friend – he’s just Harry.

“It is weird. I was watching him on stage and I was like ‘Oh my God, you’re a pop star.’ I’ve never really seen all the screaming.”

lol I’m sorry the best part of this is when they say he devoted part of his vacation to reading “Chris Evans’ biography” to study up. YOU MEAN MOYLES, GUYS. CHRIS EVANS IS CAPTAIN AMERICA. VERY DIFFERENT.

ETA lol apparently there is also a Chris Evans in radio in England with a book out. But wouldn’t it be funny if the reporter had been confused and maybe having a little daydream about Captain America?
